"Councillor Raffaele Del Giudice declared that the city streets are free of waste and that the men of Asìa are also proceeding with the sanitization of the bins. Evidently Del Giudice ignores that Pianura and Soccavo are also part of the city of Naples and, judging by the enormous quantity of waste that is still present today on the streets, the Municipality wants to make fun of the citizens who live in the suburbs for the umpteenth time".
These are the statements of Marco Lanzaro and Tommaso Nugnes, Vice President and Councilor for Greenery of the IX Municipality, regarding the statements of Councilor Raffaele Del Giudice. Despite the statements from the Municipality, the streets of Pianura and Soccavo are still cluttered with waste, with several quintals of material macerating under the scorching sun.
"If for the mayor of Naples Pianura and Soccavo are not part of the city - Lanzaro and Nugnes continue - they should say it openly and give the citizens of this tormented territory the possibility to ask for secession from the Municipality of Naples and the formation of an autonomous municipality. While the streets of the center are getting a makeover for the Pope's visit or for the Universiade, in the suburbs we are abandoned to our fate. While the citizens of this Municipality watch from afar the events of the tourist and international city - Lanzaro and Nugnes conclude - the tax bills demanding the payment of taxes for garbage collection are arriving on time".
