Naples. Police officers know well that every day of service can bring unexpected situations and this is what an officer of the Naples Railway Police must have thought when, this morning, he came across a seagull with a wounded wing that was dragging itself, scared and bleeding, among the travellers. When birds are very scared they do not let themselves get close easily and try to defend themselves, but this poor seagull was perhaps exhausted or perhaps he must have sensed the good intentions of the police officers and remained still, accepting their help. The operators of the Campania Railway Police worked to recover it without causing further damage and after having placed it in a makeshift shelter with a box, they fed it and took care of it until the arrival of the ASL Emergency Veterinary Service. All's well that ends well and we hope that this seagull can soon fly again, perhaps towards the sea.
