Naples. “In the last few days another married couple decided to choose a public street for their wedding celebration wedding . It happened in via Maddalena, in the heart of one of the busiest areas of the city. For the occasion, the organizers took over the public street, decorating it with flowers, banquets for refreshments, and setting off fireworks in the vicinity of hundreds of people who were crowding the street at that moment. Music, cotillion, confetti, a full-blown party that needs to be clarified right away. Were authorizations requested to close a public street for hours? To allow drinks and food to be served? For the explosion of illegal fireworks? Did anyone issue them? By now the situation in Naples is completely out of control and the dangers are multiplying that these parties equipped without any minimum safety standards could turn into a tragedy”. This was declared by the regional councilor of the Greens, Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the radio host Gianni Simioli.
"It is unthinkable that the city streets can be used at will for private parties - Borrelli and Simioli continue - it is a question of respecting the rules, of responsibility towards the safety of others and of decorum. As has happened in similar cases at the end of the celebrations, Asia cleans up with the money of all Neapolitans. This story must end".
