“We have been notified of the structural deterioration that is affecting the bridge on Via Pigna. The concrete reinforcement is now visible to the naked eye due to the crumbling of the external masonry parts. This is a phenomenon that is common to many other bridges in the city. Unfortunately, in some cases, these are structures built decades ago that, after years, are suffering from wear and tear caused by the passage of time”. This is what regional councillor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and municipal councillor of Sole che Ride Marco Gaudini say. “Avoiding misplaced alarmism, we need to become aware of a problem that requires serious and timely responses. For this reason, we have asked the Municipality of Naples to set up a task force to evaluate the conditions of the city bridges in order to have a precise perception of what problems need to be resolved. In this way, it will be possible to use the necessary corrective measures in order to return safe and decent bridges to the citizens”.
