Napoli. Yesterday afternoon, State Police officers reported a non-EU citizen for the crime of theft. The police officers, during their normal territorial control service, were alerted by the operations center, as a man intent on stealing had been stopped inside the “Duomo”. As soon as they arrived on site, the officers confirmed from the images of the Cathedral’s cameras that the man had climbed over the balustrade around the crypt, where the relics of San Gennaro are kept, and had begun to take the offerings from the floor, which the faithful usually place in his honor. The man was reported at liberty.
