Napoli. This afternoon, State Police officers from the San Carlo Arena Police Station arrested Sebastian Vatamanu, a 22-year-old Romanian citizen, for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing. The officers, in order to combat the widespread phenomenon of drug dealing in via Salita Scudillo, carried out a stakeout that allowed them to identify and ascertain the methods by which Vatamanu managed the drug dealing area from his home, using a video surveillance system to control the various access routes and using two-way radios to communicate with other individuals, to give the green light to potential buyers to access. Therefore, the officers, devising a way to intervene, managed to enter the 22-year-old's home without being discovered. The man, at the sight of the officers, immediately appeared very nervous. During the check, the police found, in a drawer in the bedroom, 7 packages of cocaine weighing a total of 1,75 grams, a precision scale, a 1 euro note and a perfectly functioning transceiver radio. They also seized 5 video surveillance cameras, placed on the terrace, and 1 TV connected to the control system. The 4-year-old was arrested, awaiting the summary trial that will be held tomorrow morning.
