Naples. "They've permanently removed the ambulance from San Gennaro," reports members of the group 'We Against Medical Malpractice', who explain: "The director of 118, Dr. Galano, in a coup to address the ambulance shortage and the dilapidated vehicles slated for scrap, has taken over the San Gennaro ambulance, regardless of its strategic importance. It has always been used in emergency situations throughout the crowded tourist-filled historic center. We'd like to know what happened to the famous six new ambulances promised by Forlenza, who told us they arrived for the Christmas greetings meeting with ASL employees last December. Perhaps they're waiting for Verdoliva and De Luca's election campaign to cut the "inaugural" ribbon? It seems they want to protect politics and not the health of citizens, who then obviously blame the poor service on the nurses, doctors, and 118 drivers."
