“We have been notified that, in via Francesco Galeota in Fuorigrotta, someone has abandoned, in the middle of the town, some asbestos sheets on the sidewalk, near a dumpster, a stone's throw from homes and businesses. The area has been fenced off with tape and a sign saying "Beware of Asbestos". This is a real criminal act which, among other things, represents a real attack on the health of residents. Unfortunately, the problem of disposing of asbestos and fiber cement elements is always present. Too often, dishonest companies carry out removals inappropriately, also disposing of the materials in the environment. Often these are abandoned on peripheral streets, this time it even got to the point of a spill in the middle of the town, among other things a short distance from some schools in the neighborhood”. The complaint comes from the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the municipal councilor of the Sole che Ride Marco Gaudini. “We have reported the incident to the police,” Borrelli and Gaudini continued. “The hope is that, if available, it will be possible to use the footage from the video surveillance cameras of the commercial establishments in the area to identify and severely punish those responsible for this criminal and unjustifiable act.”
