Naples. On June 17, starting at 9:00 a.m., private security workers employed at the Naples 1 Local Health Authority will hold a picket line outside the Campania Region building in Santa Lucia. The rally was called by the Italian labor unions Cigl, Cisl, and Uil, and was "blessed" by the National Association of Private Security Guards, led by Giuseppe Alviti.
“Being deeply concerned that the choice of winners based on the lowest bid as decided and managed by Soresa could seriously compromise the acquired rights of the guards working on the ASL sites and also cause the loss of jobs, requiring an early clarifying meeting and delaying the arrival of answers” the unions of the triple alliance have called this meeting following the cooling-off procedure which still foresees a strike of the entire sector in the absence of answers.
The leader of the national association of private security guards, the Neapolitan trade unionist Giuseppe Alviti, together with the criminal lawyer Arnaldo Gadola, national legal representative of Agpg, also expressed his opinion on this matter, immediately requesting the cancellation of the tender on the basis of the lowest bid "because in that case the workers will pay out of their own skin in this social butchery called private security. Cgil, Cisl and Uil have put in place an effective security barrier to protect the private security guards involved in the next passage of the construction site of the ASL Napoli 1 and not only".
