The album ONIRIC CHOPIN is the ProsiMeloMetro No. 1 conceived by the writer-songwriter Luciano Varnadi Ceriello and recorded with Juri Camisasca, Giuseppe Giulio di Lorenzo, and Vera Mignola. It is a project for two narrators, upright piano, and female voice. It contains the author's lyrics to the melodic lines of Frédéric Chopin's Nocturnes (syllables correspond to notes), turning these melodies into songs. It is a musical-literary work outside of any predefined framework, containing nine sung Chopin Nocturnes, interspersed with the intervention of two narrators: the first is that of the author Varnadi Ceriello, the second that of Juri Camisasca (a longtime collaborator of Franco Battiato, Alice, Juni Russo, and Milva, and author of, among others, the song "Nomadi"). Maestro Giuseppe Giulio di Lorenzo is on the upright piano, and vocalist Vera Mignola is on the female voice. The choice of an upright piano was carefully considered and ultimately intentional, as Frédéric Chopin historically adored upright pianos, especially those by Pleyel. The aim was to recreate the musical atmosphere so beloved by the Polish pianist. On the album ONIRIC CHOPIN ProsiMeloMetro N. 1, you can once again enjoy the pleasure of hearing Juri Camisasca's narrating voice, a first for an Italian recording since 1992, when he performed in Franco Battiato's sensational Gilgamesh. Against all current market norms, the album is currently only available in physical format. The presentation will be attended by author Luciano Varnadi Ceriello, vocalist Vera Mignola, pianist Giuseppe Giulio di Lorenzo, and painter Amelia Musella. A reading will be performed during the presentation, including some spoken excerpts and sung Nocturnes from the album. During the artistic morning, an art exhibition by painter Amelia Musella will be held, and visitors will have the opportunity to admire the paintings (acrylic on cementite) she has dedicated to the album's tracks. Painting No. 23, "The Young Chopin," is the CD cover and is inspired by a moment in Chopin's early life, depicting the moment when the young pianist experimented with playing a monochord double bass. The album ONIRIC CHOPIN ProsiMeloMetro No. 1 is freely adapted from the award-winning novel "THE SECRET OF CHOPIN," published in 2017 by Armando Curcio Editore.
