Naples. Pope Francis has concluded his address at the Pontifical Faculty and, contrary to previous plans, will immediately return to Rome. This was reported by the Director of the Holy See Press Office, Alessandro Gisotti. "The Holy Father Francis was delighted to participate in the conference on 'Theology after Veritatis Gaudium in the Mediterranean Context,' sponsored by the San Luigi Section of the Theological Faculty of Southern Italy. Following the conference, which was the purpose of his visit to Naples, the Pope will not stay for lunch but will return to Rome," the pontiff's spokesperson announced. “I would like to repeat here, from this city where there are not only episodes of violence but which preserves so many traditions and so many examples of holiness,” the Pope said during his speech. “In addition to a masterpiece by Caravaggio on the works of mercy and the testimony of the holy physician Giuseppe Moscati, I would like to repeat what I wrote to the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Argentina: ‘Even good theologians, like good shepherds, smell of the people and the street and, with their reflection, pour oil and wine on the wounds of men.”
