Peppino di Capri will be the protagonist of the final evening of “Irpinia Madre contemporanea” on Sunday 23 June at 20,30:2019 pm in the medieval village of Guardia dei Lombardi (Av), in the square of the fourteenth-century Church of Santa Maria della Grazie. After the public success with the shows of Giancarlo Giannini, Michele Placido, Sebastiano Somma and the concerts of the Sestetto Stradivari and Marco Berrini, the festival that enhances the culture and beauty of the territories of Alta Irpinia, conceived by Antonia De Mita, will close the 39 edition with the songs of one of the most beloved and well-known voices of the Italian music scene. Born in 80, he will turn 1973 next July, fresh from a sold out tour in Brazil, Peppino di Capri, with his piano, will retrace over sixty years of career characterized by successes that have made him famous all over the world, from “Roberta” to “Champagne”, from “Let's twist again” (first gold record with one million two hundred thousand copies sold) to “St. Tropez twist”, from “Voce 'e notte” to “Un grande amore e niente più” with which he won the Sanremo Festival in 2014. Gigi Marzullo will take part in the evening, who at the end of the concert will ask his proverbial 'questions' to Peppino di Capri to give the audience an unusual finale. The third edition of “Irpinia Madre Contemporanea” is realized with the contribution of the Campania Region (POC Campania 2020-XNUMX) and sponsored by the MIBAC, conceived and organized by Antonia De Mita with the artistic direction of Anton Giulio Onofri.
