On June 15, 2019, the fifth edition of the “Photos and shorts of Cilento” competition organized by the Pietro De Luca Foundation took place. The winner, in the “shorts” category, was the short film “Si può avere di più”, written by Gino Cogliandro based on an idea by Luigi Gatto (Cilento Cultura in Movimento). Gino Cogliandro, a well-known face in the entertainment industry known above all as a former member of the group i Trettré, has been living in Pisciotta, one of the pearls of Cilento, for over a decade. From the active collaboration with Carlo Sacchi (ANSPI Oratorio San Carlo), artistic director of many events and a profound connoisseur of the world of entertainment, various activities were born aimed at promoting the development of culture in the area, including an acting school (aimed especially at the youngest), diction courses and self-defense courses. Set in Pisciotta, the short film, directed by Raffaele Marsicano, starts with the announcement of the winner of the Isola dei Famosi, an occasion during which Gino Cogliandro explains to the children of his theater class that on the Isola dei Famosi that art of “making do” in order to survive has always been practiced in Cilento: eating wild or cultivated products of the land, the blue fish always present in their dishes, the products of pastoralism, Cilento oil, are all foods that have made the inhabitants of Cilento create what later became famous as the “Mediterranean diet”.
