“Without Quota 100, today approximately 150 thousand workers would still find themselves without a way out of the 'cage' of the Fornero Law. The massive number of applications submitted is a strong and positive response to an absolutely necessary measure, despite the host of detractors who have harshly criticized it in recent months”. This is the comment of the Undersecretary for Labor Claudio Cominardi on the latest data released today by the National Institute of Social Security (150.099 accesses to the "Quota 100" program recorded by the Institute as of June 20). “Interesting – adds Cominardi – is the distribution of applications submitted in individual provincial capitals in relation to the number of inhabitants. Proportionately, more requests come from Naples than from Milan, but the sum of the requests from Milan and Turin (12.224) is significantly higher than those from Rome (11.559), where the inhabitants are over 600 thousand more (2,873 million inhabitants of the Capital compared to 2,238 million inhabitants of the two capitals of the North). Therefore, citizens from all over Italy, without distinction between North and South, are demanding a social security system that is more respectful of work and the dignity of people”.
