They blackmailed a parish priest from Bergamo for months for having had a paid sexual encounter with a boy, even making him believe he was a minor, and for this five people, three boys and a girl, all 23 years old, and a 57 year old man, were arrested by the Carabinieri of the Norm of the Zogno Company (Bergamo) and by the Carabinieri of the provincial command of Rimini. They are all accused of having extorted over 6.500 euros from the priest after he had agreed to and consumed a paid sexual encounter. The priest himself reported it and, no longer able to pay the sums requested, he turned to the Carabinieri in May. One of the young accomplices, originally from Missaglia (Lecco), was arrested yesterday while he was alone in a hotel in Marina Centro for a holiday on the Riviera. The young man was taken to the 'Casetti' prison in Rimini in execution of an order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Monza who granted house arrest only to the girl. The parish priest, according to the reconstruction, ended up in a 'sexual trap'. One of the boys had responded to a request for sexual services on the Internet, making an appointment in a secluded area with the priest. When the latter, suspicious, interrupted the appointment by paying the agreed sum, the accomplices appeared, threatening to report the priest for having had sex with a minor. Even though the young man was actually 23 years old, the requests for money became more and more insistent. At first the parish priest had paid but then, after yet another threat, including that of revealing everything to a TV show, he turned to the police who nailed the scammers by filming them while they collected the blackmail money.
