Waste, Del Giudice: 'Naples has its own site ready for the Acerra stop'

“The Municipality of Naples is making its contribution, as always, to the institutional supply chain regarding the Acerra plant shutdown period. Naples has already activated an equipped site and set up ten ecological islands to increase separate waste collection for some time”. This was stated by the Councillor for the Environment of the Municipality of Naples Raffaele Del Giudice regarding the alarm raised by the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca on the need for the Municipalities to identify and prepare waste storage sites to deal with the shutdown for maintenance of all the lines of the Acerra waste-to-energy plant scheduled for September. “We requested and obtained - said Del Giudice - thanks to the Vice President of the Region Bonavitacola, a regional table to prepare all the necessary actions. The competent provincial systems are engaged in all the activities, the Region has ensured the involvement of the current manager of the waste-to-energy plant to contribute to the alternative plan for the month of September”.
