"We continue to receive numerous reports about the presence of piles of rubbish along the streets of Naples and the province. Our social pages are receiving dozens of messages, accompanied by photos and videos, from citizens who, due to the heat, report the presence of insects and rats near the piles. Beyond these phenomena, which in any case we follow with the utmost attention, we are particularly concerned by the reports of fires that are reaching us from some municipalities in the province. Our fear is that criminals, taking advantage of the critical situation, will intensify the environmental crimes that have afflicted our lands. In this regard, we have sent a report to the police about a fire near the Asse mediano near the shopping centre 'Le Porte di Napoli'". This is what the regional councillor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the spokesperson of Sole che Ride in Campania Vincenzo Peretti say. "The delays in collection - they add - do not authorize the commission of illegal acts. On the contrary, this criticality should be addressed with a renewed maturity and civic conscience by the citizens who should do their utmost to limit the inconveniences, avoiding uncivilized behavior. For our part, we will continue to devote maximum effort to finding a solution in the institutional offices".
