“We are particularly concerned following the complaint by municipal councilor Pino De Stasio who documented with photos the fires of dumpsters that occurred during the night in the center of Naples. Three different episodes, in a short geographical and temporal distance, which affected Piazza Dante, Via Toledo and the area in front of the Central Post Office. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that we have found ourselves reporting phenomena of this type. In recent months, we have often witnessed fires of dumpsters in the area near Via Toledo. A very disturbing phenomenon that deserves to be clarified”. This is what regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and councilor of the Sole che Ride in the II Municipality Salvatore Iodice say. “It is difficult for us to think of a coincidence – continue Borrelli and Iodice –. Indeed, we fear that it could be a well-defined plan, hatched by those who want the city to be prey to the waste emergency. Such episodes, among other things, contribute to a climate of insecurity that, after a certain hour, affects the area. From the seafront to the Museum, hooligans, bad guys and baby gangs are the masters”
