From the great and muddy Mississippi to the small and intense Rubicon”. Sogliano Blues, now in its eighth edition, confirms itself as one of the most important Italian blues festivals. The event will take place, like every year, in Sogliano al Rubicone, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, in Piazza Matteotti starting at 17:00 pm on Saturday 20 July 2019.
The following artists will perform on the main stage: Marco Vignazia & Stax Band, Fog Eaters, The Drive, Bayou Moonshiners & The International Collective feat. Phil Gates and finally – the international star of the Sogliano Blues Festival 2019 – Eric Gales with his Band. Joe Bonamassa stated that “Eric Gales is one of the five best guitarists alive, if not the best” – Carlos Santana himself then defines him – “an absolutely incredible musician”. Now an “ex-boy” prodigy of blues-rock in the eighties, Eric Gales will present himself to the audience of the Sogliano Blues Festival with a new gritty and inspired album. An explosive mix of groove, blues, soul, funk, rock driven by his eclectic guitar and his fascinating voice between Hendrixian echoes and clear signs of modernity. In Piazza Matteotti, where the event will take place, there will be food stands and a market with musical-themed objects and merchandising for the entire duration of the event. The event will be hosted, as is now customary, by Monia Angeli.
The nearby Piazza Garibaldi will be reserved for motorcycle parking and disabled parking.
