Naples. The mobilization phase of Fai Cisl, Flai Cgil and Uila Uil Campania starts from Salerno towards the general strike of hydraulic-forestry workers jointly called for next July 12 with a picket under the headquarters of the regional council of Campania in Naples. On Friday June 28 at 10, the provincial secretariats of the three trade unions will meet in picket with the workers under the Prefecture of Salerno. After Salerno, the pickets under the Prefectures will continue in Avellino and Caserta (July 8) and Benevento (July 9). "We are deeply concerned - write in a note Aniello Garone, Giovanna Basile and Ciro Marino, general secretaries of Fai Cisl, Flai Cgil and Uila Uil Salerno - about the reduction in funding that the Campania Region has operated in the distribution of AIB funds, which would seriously compromise the correct execution of the extinguishing and reclamation interventions of the delegated bodies. Furthermore, the failure to allocate funds to cover the 2019 Forestry Plan and the balance of the year 2018, for a total sum of 124 million euros, is putting the Mountain Communities in serious difficulty, which are no longer able to pay workers' salaries, marking, in many cases, arrears of more than ten months' wages.
