“Suoni del Mediterraneo”, the musical review curated by Città Mediterranee, ends with the concert “Di altri sguardi”. The Monumental Complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore hosts, on Thursday 20 June starting at 21,15:XNUMX pm, the pianist and composer Mariano Bellopede. Also on stage are Carmine Marigliano on the flute, Cristian Capasso on bass, Gabriele Borrelli on percussion accompanied by the voice of Francesca Colapietro. “A journey of the soul, imaginative, sound journeys. Places that I have immortalized in my heart, distances that I heard about at the Port of Algeciras, a tall man with black eyes. He spoke to me of other looks, of encounters made on the journey. And again the tavern of the port of Ceuta, after having crossed the Strait of Gibraltar: the colors and sounds screaming with love for the land and for the sea that bathes them, the Mediterranean. Ancient, lived, exploited and abused, stained with black, red and green but always alive, more alive than all the oceans, so alive that it is frightening for the quantity of different cultures that it encompasses. For each of these places a story inspired me. For each story a song. Ten tracks, ten memories, ten stories from the Mediterranean”, commented Mariano Bellopede. “Sounds of the Mediterranean” enjoys the patronage of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Naples and the Metropolitan City of Naples.
