As part of the intensification of general prevention and
economic control of the territory, with particular attention to
resurgence of tle smuggling, the Provincial Command of the
The Guardia di Finanza of Naples has ordered a widespread strengthening of the
counter-terrorism services implemented throughout the province.
In this context, the financiers of the dependent Portici Company, during
an ordinary economic control activity of the territory, they seized
a total of 534,400 kilograms of contraband cigarettes.
In particular, the yellow flames, in the municipality of Torre del Greco (NA), at
early in the morning they noticed a suspicious car passing through an area
peripheral area of the aforementioned Municipality and decided to follow it. The vehicle stopped the

in front of a premises adjacent to a football pitch, where the driver
he got out and started loading cardboard boxes bearing the brand name
“Regina” cigarettes. The military immediately intervened and during the
contextual search carried out inside the premises, used as a warehouse
tle of contraband, they found a total of 534,400 kg of cigarettes,
without the state mark and presumably intended for local
sale.
At the end of the operations, in addition to the illegal cigarettes of the “Regina Rosse” brand –
“Regina Blue and Marlboro Reds” were seized: 1
car, 1 cell phone and an entire sports complex consisting of fields
from football, bar, changing rooms, showers and warehouses. The smuggler was
arrested in the act while the tenant of the sports facility
reported to the competent Judicial Authority.
The activity carried out demonstrates the constant commitment exerted by the Command
Provincial Finance Police of Naples on the territory, to protect the
economic and financial security of citizens and to combat a phenomenon
characterized by strong social danger.
