The number of women who, in order to have a perfect and stable look, rely on semi-permanent makeup is constantly increasing. A treatment that, despite its increasingly widespread diffusion, continues to be the object of misunderstandings that generate confusion. Let's try to understand this procedure better and, above all, to understand what it is really for.
What is semi-permanent makeup?
In fact, the name alone is enough to begin to really understand what it is. semi-permanent makeup: unlike the classic tattoo it is not intended to remain, even if its duration can be very long. The products used, which are natural and certified, do not penetrate deeply, giving life to a micropigmentation delegated to the creation of tiny holes under the skin, through which the substances circulate.
This is a non-invasive treatment, lasting about 4 hours, after which the final result will last from 4 to 8 years, depending not only on the color and quality of the pigment chosen, but also on factors such as exposure to the sun or chlorine in the pool, heavy sweating, taking medications containing cortisone or anticoagulants and the skin's ability to self-regenerate. To renew the effect, you can still opt for maintenance sessions.
The advantages of semi-permanent makeup
Naturally, women who decide to undergo the treatment do so because they are driven by the advantages that it can provide. The first of which is to avoid long makeup sessions in front of the mirror in an attempt to improve one's appearance for a few hours.
A second advantage is that it is offered to people who cannot wear adequate makeup due to allergies or who have imperfections that prevent it, such as scars.
The fundamental thing to be able to ensure these advantages and eliminate any risk of infection that could be caused by the needles used in the procedure, is that it is performed by a true professional, guaranteeing that the instruments used will always be sterilized, avoiding the risk of infections at the root.
How much does semi-permanent makeup cost?
As for the costs of permanent makeup, they vary quite significantly from area to area, although usually for the lip contour and eyebrows, prices tend to range from a minimum of 400 to a maximum of 900 euros, while for maintenance or touch-up sessions, between 150 and 250 euros may be required.
