A meeting/discussion with Agostino Casillo, President of the Vesuvius Park Authority and a delegation of hoteliers registered with Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio. First a short excursion on one of the most beautiful nature trails in the Park, then a chat to discuss in a frank and informal way, the tourist prospects of the territory, the steps to be taken for its total enhancement and for a synergic work that sees the tourism promoters walk hand in hand with the institutional bodies. "We took advantage of one of the afternoons free from institutional commitments of President Casillo to be able to exchange opinions on the opportunities that are being prepared for this territory. Vesuvius, in fact, is the hub of tourism in this area. And we want to think of giving life, with the help and collaboration of all the institutional bodies, to a series of activities that increasingly project this territory towards the future of an excellent tourist destination. Also for this reason and for the commitment and investments that hoteliers put into the territory, we must feel increasingly supported by the public administration” commented Adelaide Palomba, President of Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio. “I am particularly happy with this initiative taken by Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio, which responded to a stimulus launched several times by me also with schools and other organizations. Very often a large part of the population does not know what the Park is and to defend it, I always maintain that we must know it. I am not only talking about the naturalistic beauties but also about its functioning. We are on the eve of the start of a series of construction sites with Grande Progetto Vesuvio which has seen the passage to the operational phase. And this must be given account of to those who work in the territory” said Agostino Casillo, President of the Vesuvius National Park.
