The Organizing Committee of the NAPLES 2019 Universiade and the Consorzio Unico Campania have signed an agreement allowing delegates from the 120 countries registered for the event and all participating volunteers to use local public transportation services throughout the Campania region free of charge. "This is a very important agreement," commented Gianluca Basile, Special Commissioner of NAPLES 2019, "because it offers eligible participants the opportunity to travel easily and free of charge throughout our region, both to reach the competition venues and to visit the many tourist destinations in our region. This is an agreement we've been dreaming of for some time," he continued. "I also want to thank Luca Cascone, the Regional Councilor responsible for Transportation, who has made a significant contribution." For Gaetano Ratto, Director of the Consorzio Unico Campania, the service offered to delegates and volunteers "is an important signal because it gives confidence in our region's transport system, rewards the efforts the Region is making in this area, and the strong desire for revitalization shown by our region's public transport companies."
