Training activities and increased participation among young people in Campania will be the focus of the ninth edition of "Venice in Naples. Extended Cinema," the event directed by Antonella Di Nocera, scheduled for October 23-27, 2019. The event brings arthouse titles from the 76th Venice International Film Festival, often not distributed in Italy, to various venues in the city and surrounding areas, along with major names from the national and international film and cultural scene. Following the success of last year's event, this year's event, promoted by Parallelo 41, in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II and Arci Movie, and supported by the Campania Region, is further strengthening its involvement with young people through numerous initiatives. Among the new features of the next edition is the opportunity for a student to serve on the Youth Jury that awards the prize for best restoration in the "Venice Classics" section. This unique opportunity will be made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Degree Course in Music, Cinema and Entertainment at Federico II and with Anna Masecchia (Associate Professor SSD L-Art/06 Cinema, Photography, Television – Department of Humanistic Studies).
“Venice in Naples” 2019 confirms for the second year the activation of facilitated and training courses for students from Campania through “cultural accreditations”, two award trips for film students from Federico II to the Venice Film Festival, workshops in film criticism, school-work alternation with the Don Lorenzo Milani Institute of San Giovanni a Teduccio (Na).
