Moments of fear this afternoon when during a particularly intense storm a cruise ship, the Costa Deliziosa, maneuvering inside the Venice lagoon near Riva Sette Martiri temporarily went out of control, brushing against a yacht moored on the shore. No accident occurred but memories immediately went back to the serious episode of Sunday 2 June when a cruise ship, probably due to an engine failure, collided with a tourist boat along the Giudecca canal. The crew members of the yacht literally threw themselves to the ground to save themselves, as this afternoon it seemed to have ended up in the sights of the 'Costa Deliziosa', on Riva Sette Martiri in Venice. Seeing the bow that continued to approach dangerously, the sailors of the yacht - the Elysia', a 50-meter vessel flying the Cape Town flag - 'dived' from the ladder onto the pier, taking refuge in the guard post of the boat's private security. The episode was reported by the security guard himself.
