“Il Bagno Elena meets the stars”. An exclusive dinner by Chef Igles Corelli, 5 Michelin stars, Wednesday 10 July, from 20 pm. Once again, Bagno Elena will be the protagonist of a unique event in the city, standing out for its class and elegance. On the characteristic pier that extends towards the sea, overlooking the Gulf of Naples, only seventy guests will have the joy of tasting the excellence of the cuisine of a Master who knows how to best combine the products of our territory's gastronomy. His culinary creations are characterized by a wise mix of flavors, each enhanced to the maximum, in preparations that are divided between Tradition and Contamination, the theme of the evening. Before the “starred” dinner, guests will be greeted with a welcome aperitif. During the evening, they will be entertained by music to listen to.
Igles Corelli is the undisputed master of Italian catering and a well-known face on Gambero Rosso Channel with his program “Il gusto di Igles”. Since 2018, Igles Corelli has been the new Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of Gambero Rosso Academy.
Igles came to national and international prominence between the 1980s and 1990s, as chef of the now legendary restaurant “Il Trigabolo” in Argenta, in the province of Ferrara. In fourteen years at the head of the kitchen brigade, which produced many successful chefs, he collected numerous awards, in addition to being awarded two stars by the Michelin Guide; “Trigabolo” was then among the top restaurants in Italy, and contributed to the advancement of Italian cuisine with dishes that are now considered historic.
In 1996 Igles moved a few kilometers and opened his own restaurant, “La Locanda della Tamerice”, immersed in the valleys of Ostellato. In the following fourteen years he received another Michelin star and consolidated his position as a Master of Italian Cuisine.
From 2010 to 2017 he was executive chef of the Atman restaurant, in the province of Pistoia, where his research work and his passion for service led him to receive important recognition, such as the awarding of another Michelin star.
At the end of 2017 he moved to Rome to open a new restaurant format at the “Mercerie” restaurant, where he continues to promote typical Italian products combined with research, experimentation and contamination with other cultures, presenting a creative cuisine, rich in references to traditions but which never ceases to amaze, provoke and evolve.
Igles is the author of eleven cookbooks; among the most recent, “La caccia di Igles e dei suoi amici” (The Hunt of Igles and His Friends) and “Il Gusto di Igles” (The Taste of Igles).
