"I understood immediately after that we had done something stupid and I apologize to all Neapolitans. I myself did everything I could to immediately recover the scooter. Clearly, it is useless to repeat it, the exchange of money was only a fiction. I did not take those two thousand euros". It is the entrepreneur from Castellammare di Stabia Catello Buonocore called Catellone, former rower and son of Giovanni called 'o Animale, the protagonist of the most clicked video of the weekend. The one of the scooter that ended up in the sea with Balotelli's bet. The two are friends. The entrepreneur from Castellammare who manages a part of the docks on the commercial port of Castellammare has been friends with SuperMario for years as evidenced by the photos on social media profiles. The footballer had been in the town of Castellammare in recent days with his daughter Pia with his boat. Then he went to Capri and on the way back he stopped in Naples. And that's where they organized the prank with Catello Buonocore. "It was a prank, born for fun together with Mario. As a man of the sea I would never have done something that could damage the environment. There was no money at stake, as he specified Balotelli too. I did it without thinking about the consequences, even though all the fuss was made because it was about Mario. If the protagonist had been an ordinary person, all this would not have happened,” explained the entrepreneur from Castellammare di Stabia. The video has totaled over two million views. And Balotelli explains further, while waiting to know the legal consequences: “I wanted to clarify – writes the footballer on his social profiles – that the bet was not monetized but it was all a scene for the joke”. And now for Buonocore all that remains is to wait for the amount to be paid for the fine that is on its way.
