“We were notified of a video, taken late Sunday afternoon in the tourist port of Lacco Ameno, a municipality on the island of Ischia, in which you can see a boat out of control that impacts and damages other boats before colliding with the dock. From what can be seen in the video, it seems that the driver of the boat, a large yacht, lost control of the vessel, ending up impacting everything in front of it. It was a miracle that no one was hurt”. This was stated by the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli. “When we learned of the accident, we immediately contacted the mayor of Lacco Ameno Giacomo Pascale. He told us that he will make sure those responsible for this episode pay for the damages. We do not know the reasons that led the boat to end up out of control but we reiterate that maintenance and checks on boats are priorities, especially when it comes to large vessels”.
