The mayor of Castel Volturno (Caserta), Luigi Petrella (Brothers of Italy), after meeting yesterday with the committee for the Lago Patria bridge, closed for two months due to a risk of collapse, today resumed his attention to the problem that has isolated hundreds of residents and interrupted the connection between the provinces of Naples and Caserta. "We are currently awaiting the results of the load test," the mayor explained to "Agenzia Nova," "so we can work out what to do. I will be committed to expediting the measure to reach a feasible solution." The politician, from Giorgia Meloni's party, in discussions with representatives of the committee formed to request a partial reopening of the Lago Patria bridge and a solution to the problem, explained that "yesterday I didn't provide a specific timeframe, but I spoke with the official, who estimated 15 or 20 days for the load tests. I explained to the committee members that the workers who had briefly inspected the structure's condition didn't provide a reassuring response. But for now, let's stick to the static assessment, which will tell us how best to proceed for the benefit of residents and all those who use this infrastructure, while respecting everyone's safety."
