The new LED lighting system in via Ortensio Pepi and in viale della Santa Croce in the Santa Maria district of the municipality of Castellabate will be inaugurated tomorrow, Thursday 11 July. The lights will be turned on at 20:30 pm in the presence of Mayor Costabile Spinelli. The infrastructure replaces the existing one with energy-saving technology, using lighting fixtures with latest-generation LED lamps, and completes the redevelopment works in various parts of the area where sub-services have been created, such as the methane gas and fibre optic networks, the complete resurfacing of the asphalt and new road signs. Similar works have in fact already been completed in other areas of the municipality, with the same sub-services and the same urbanization works. The new lighting has recently been put into operation also in the streets Mazzini, Maurano, Santa Maria a mare, Ianni, in the localities of Caprarizzo, Starza, Torretta and along the SS 267. «A widespread and very demanding work that continues incessantly to arrive at the modernization of the infrastructures throughout our territory – declares the mayor Costabile Spinelli who adds – the completion of the streets in question, central areas near the Santa Maria seafront, represents a further step forward that makes them increasingly livable, safe and modern. I would also like to underline that we are focusing on energy efficiency also through the installation of high luminous efficiency lamps that will allow a saving in energy costs and light pollution».
