During the months of July and August, it will be possible to reach the Certosa di Padula by coach from the Gulf of Policastro and Cilento – (Marina di Camerota and Palinuro every Thursday).
The project was born from the synergy of three young entrepreneurs: Giuseppe Verga, a tour guide specializing in guided tours of the Padula Charterhouse; Giovanni Tardugno of the Tardugno bus company; and Alessandro Infante, owner of the Infante Viaggi agency.
The three young people launched this important promotional project to raise awareness of the largest Royal Palace of Silence in Italy.
"A breathtaking excursion into the heart of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park, to be experienced as a family immersed in fantastic ancient places," said Alessandro Infante, owner of the Infante Agency. "The project does not involve public funding."
"It's a great opportunity for those spending their summer holidays in the wonderful seaside resorts of Cilento," adds Giuseppe Verga. "The combined efforts of us young lovers of the area have overcome the parochialism of the past, ensuring that the Certosa di Padula has been included in the range of summer tourism options for those staying in the vast Cilento region."
"It's a real pleasure to support the initiative with the provincial bus transport service, which has also been active in recent years from the Gulf of Policastro," concludes Giovanni Tardugno of the Eredi Tardugno bus company.
It will be possible to visit the Certosa di Padula at a cost of 25 euros (entrance ticket + guide + return bus) for adults, while at a cost of €10,00 for minors under 18 years of age.
