“The time has come to act, the entrepreneurs of the Pip area of Sarno can no longer wait. The situation has become unlivable, we need more security but above all we need to complete the urbanization works and finally give the right dignity to the industrial area of Sarno”. The speaker is the vice president of the municipal council of Sarno Domenico Crescenzo of Forza Libera – Sarno Popolare who takes the field alongside the entrepreneurs of the Pip area of Sarno, and supports the battle undertaken by the provincial Cisal with the secretary Gigi Vicinanza. “The electoral campaign is now over, now we need to get things done and make the Pip area of via Ingegno livable to avoid emptying. – continues Crescenzo – Five important years, now, have already passed. In fact, in this last five years, despite the institutional chain that starts from Sarno, crossing the Province of Salerno until reaching the Campania Region has had no effect. They have simply been five years of false promises and broken commitments.
Entrepreneurs are exhausted by continuous thefts, degradation and inconveniences due to the incomplete utilities. If mistakes have been made in the past, both by centre-right and centre-left administrations, today the time has come to take action, we must act absolutely, there are no more excuses. It is unthinkable that after all these years, entrepreneurs, after the many investments made in the Sarno industrial area, must continually suffer thefts in their companies. A good administration must be at the side of entrepreneurs because they can be the real driving force for our city, but so far, unfortunately, this has not been the case. Politics cannot stand by and watch but must act as far as it is within its competence. We cannot allow important companies that have invested in Sarno to leave our territory but, on the contrary, we must put them in a position to work with all the comforts and maximum safety. The industrial area must be completely closed at night and under video surveillance and we must make a common front against the crime emergency. Furthermore, at night the industrial area becomes a red light district, in addition to being a place where waste is dumped, with bumpy roads and missing manholes”. Crescenzo then concludes “I am alongside the entrepreneurs and I will fight in the appropriate places so that the industrial area of Sarno can become the flagship of our territory and, over the years, that it can provide as much work as possible to the young people of Sarno”.
