The conference “History, art, environment and economy of the Campania Region and the city of Naples” will open on Tuesday 9 July at 10.30:XNUMX in Caserta at the Department of Political Sciences “Jean Monnet” of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, two days of seminar studies organized by the Jean Monnet Department in collaboration with the People's University of Trieste in implementation of the project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the conservation of the linguistic and cultural heritage of the indigenous Italian National Community present in Istria, Fiume and Dalmatia. Over fifty Italian language teachers in Croatia and Slovenia will be in Campania for seminar activities that will be accompanied by guided tours and on-site lessons in the major cultural attractions of the area and in particular in those of the Caserta area, with a special in-depth study of the ancient cult of the god Mithras, genius loci of Santa Maria Capua Vetere which, in these months, in the rooms of the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Capua hosts a splendid exhibition on the ancient, mysterious and fascinating divinity.
Tomorrow, in the inaugural morning, the opening of the works will be entrusted to Pasquale Femia, director of the Department of Political Science Jean Monnet of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” who will illustrate the new scientific agreements of the Department with various Croatian and Slovenian academic institutions and the activities of strengthening the Third Mission of the Vanvitelli University in the Caserta area. Then the lectio magistralis of Giulio Maria Chiodi, associate professor of Symbolics of the institutions of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, dedicated to the theme “The spirit of Aquileia – Between Central Europe and the Mediterranean”.
Tuesday evening starting at 20 pm at the Amphitheatre of Santa Maria Capua Vetere the “Festival of Italian culture in the world” organized by Amico Bio Arena Spartacus, the first organic restaurant in the world in an archaeological site, among the best known examples in the world of innovative valorization of a cultural site. An opportunity to tell the story of Campania Felix at the table with vegetables produced by the farm “La Colombaia” of Capua, buffalo mozzarella and dishes of Caserta black pig.
On Wednesday, after the morning of studies at the Jean Monnet Department of Political Sciences of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” with speeches by Antimo Cesaro, Rossella Castelletti, Margaret Ianuario, Daniele Barone and Gabriele Capone, there will be an entire afternoon dedicated to guided tours of the UNESCO historic center of Naples (from the Chapel of San Severo to the Monumental Complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore).
