Monti Circus Tamer Killed by Tiger During Training

A tamer of the Marina Monti circus, Ettore Weber, 61 years old, was bitten by a tiger and died shortly after from the injuries sustained. It happened in the evening in Triggiano in the province of Bari. From the first information gathered, the man was busy training four tigers in rehearsals for the show. According to an initial reconstruction of the facts provided by the Carabinieri, the accident occurred around 20 pm.
