“We hope that the film 'Terra Mia' will be considered a precious testimony of a positive evolution of a tormented land like Calabria. A land that wants to rebel against crime”, this is how director Ambrogio Crespi comments on the docufilm's registration for the next Venice International Film Festival, scheduled from August 28 to September 7.
The work, by the production company Index Production now formally registered at the Mostra, is dedicated to the case of the municipality of San Luca (RC) in Aspromonte which returned to elect a mayor after 11 years.
The 60-minute short film retraces the story through the testimonies of the protagonists: Klaus Davi (journalist and mass media expert as well as mayoral candidate), Mimma Cacciatore (San Luca school principal), Benedetto Zoccola (witness of justice), Michele Inserra (journalist and witness of justice), Don Luigi Merola ('A voce de creature' Foundation), Luciana Careri (ex-girlfriend of the murdered carabiniere Carmine Tripodi) and the Commander of the Carabinieri Cosimo Sframeli. The film features the unreleased song 'Terra Mia', sung by rappers Michele Sbam and Kiaman with the participation of actress Ludovica Pedetta. The authors of the docufilm are Klaus Davi, Luigi Crespi and Giorgio Amato.
“In Calabria to denounce and to tell and support the revenge, the desire to react. The work bears witness to this path”, concludes Klaus Davi.
