Ischia, part of illegal beach resort seized in San Pietro

Ischia. As part of a broader and more complex judicial police activity in the state property sector, the Ischia Coast Guard has seized a portion of approximately 90 square meters of a beach facility located in San Pietro – Ischia. Specifically, the construction of works that are difficult to remove without the required authorization and in violation of the regulations governing the use of state maritime property was contested. The owner of the facility has also been reported to the competent Judicial Authority. The Coast Guard will continue to carry out checks in the state property sector, also in order to ensure access to and use of free beaches. Checks will also be intensified to ensure proper compliance with the provisions contained in the beach safety ordinance 34/2017 – available on the Ischia Coast Guard’s institutional website – designed to protect bathers and boaters.
