“This year too, as a diocesan Caritas, we have decided to renew the responsible choice of keeping our soup kitchen open for the entire summer period”. The long-awaited news was announced by Don Carmine Schiavone, director of the Diocesan Caritas of Aversa: during the months of July and August, therefore, access to the Caritas soup kitchen – located in the Sant'Agostino complex, entrance via Cesare Golia – will not be suspended in any way.
The basis of the decision, explains Don Carmine, are essentially two reasons: "First, we feel called to support a community climate that is even more attentive to the needs of our territory, in particular of the brothers who find themselves in difficult conditions; secondly, already in the last, torrid weeks of June we noticed how the influx of our guests did not register any drops whatsoever".
The premises of the diocesan Caritas soup kitchen, therefore, will be accessible every day and will respect the following hours: from Monday to Saturday, self-service dinner from 18.00:19.00 pm to 10.30:XNUMX pm; in addition, every Sunday the traditional appointment with the Eucharistic Celebration at XNUMX:XNUMX am will be renewed, followed by the community lunch.
