Regional President Vincenzo De Luca met with trade unions and the regional Uncem. The meeting focused on the dispute in the forestry sector. "The meeting," a statement reads, "developed in a climate of mutual and effective collaboration, strongly oriented toward addressing and addressing the issues that emerged." During the meeting, De Luca outlined several operational points "on which there was full agreement among all parties." They are: 1) establishing a permanent joint commission between the Region, UNCEM, and trade unions, with the task of monthly review, advising on, and streamlining decisions; 2) the Commission's first task will be to define the new structure of the 2021/2027 Rural Development Plan (RDP), along the key lines of interest to the sector, including the definition of the Measure Sheets; 3) initiate a dispute with the National Government for a speedy definition of the Forestry APQ, with a relaunch of the investment volume from 117 and its timeframe extension to 2020. 4) address the problems of previous debt positions (CISOA 2014, insufficient allocations 2011/2012, etc.), including through a regulatory redefinition of commitments, with the next regional budget; 5) urge the delegated bodies, which have not yet produced the reports of the interventions for the years 2015/2017, to expedite the submission of the reports as quickly as possible, to allow the competent regional structure to process, approve and liquidate them, together with those already submitted by the EE.DD.; 6) commit the Regional Council to guarantee the disbursement to the EE.DD., by the current month of July, of resources sufficient to ensure the payment of an additional two to three months' wages to forestry personnel; 7) engage the Joint Commission to assess the concrete possibility of stabilization/turnover, to be addressed in a substantive discussion, with equal resources, including through incentivized redundancy of personnel approaching retirement; 8) immediately initiate forestry staff mobility processes, both from the EE.DD to the Region (nurseries and state-owned forests) and between the EE.DD themselves, in order to even out the distribution of workers across the entire region. "Following the outcome of the meeting, which demonstrated complete consensus, the meeting previously scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, in Avellino has been canceled," concludes the statement from Palazzo Santa Lucia.
