Public transport buses risk becoming a mirage for the citizens of Scampia. The peripheral area of Naples has suffered a reduction in runs and cancellations of lines with the summer timetable of the Neapolitan Mobility Company. The night line N8 has been cancelled, creating serious inconvenience for residents in the northern area. The complaint is from the many citizens who work at night, such as nurses, carers, educators and volunteers who no longer know how to get home, seeing a journey suspended, the 4.20 one, which was the most used.
The night line N8 started from the Brin parking lot and arrived in Scampia after passing through Piazza Municipio and Piazza Dante. The 180 was cancelled on Sundays. “The ANM summer schedule has cut Scampia off from public transport, creating inconvenience for many citizens. This is why we are asking the ANM management to reconsider,” said the Neapolitan trade unionist and leader of Identità meridionale Giuseppe Alviti.
