Naples. “We are shocked by what is evident in a video that was forwarded to us by a citizen. The video, taken on Sunday evening in the Neapolitan neighborhood of Pianura, shows yet another promise of marriage on the street, with dozens of people in via Salvador Dalì occupying the roadway. The most serious fact is that a municipal police car arrives on the scene and, after a while, drives away without intervening, amid applause from those present. We wonder how it is possible that the officers did not intervene to dismantle an occupation of public land that was clearly unauthorized”. This is what the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the host of “La Radiazza” on Radio Marte Gianni Simioli say. “We have sent a note to the municipal police to ask why the officers who were on site did not intervene. Unfortunately, promises of marriage on the street have become a very bad habit, and a very dangerous one at that. They represent an obstacle for emergency vehicles and expose people who are standing on the road to witness the event to the risk of being run over”.
