It happened today in Naples, where—as seen in the video that's now gone viral on social media—the national "Mario" offers the sum to a swimmer who, without much persuasion, takes off and dives into the sea at the Mergellina marina on his scooter. The video shows the swimmer, to the applause of a small crowd who had urged him to accept the "indecent proposal" before the dive, resurface without incident while his scooter sinks among the boats. Municipal Police officers intervened and, having obtained the video, are searching for the suspects. A fine will be issued. There has also been widespread online criticism for the act, especially the pollution issue, given that the vehicle was later left in the water. Balotelli posted two videos on Instagram stories showing the scooter being rescued, commenting: "Philosophers... here's the 'polluting' Vespa rescued."
