Naples, Judge Capuano helped the daughter of the councilor Di Dio to enter the judiciary

Naples judge Alberto Capuano, arrested as part of "Operation San Gennaro," also worked to help the daughter of his "fixer" Antonio Di Dio (councilman of the 10th Municipality of Naples, also arrested, ed.) pass the competitive exam for the judiciary. In one of the wiretaps contained in the case file, Di Dio's young daughter states that she is willing to purchase a new SIM card to be registered in her mother's name, to maintain illicit contacts with the judge and avoid "improper eavesdropping" by law enforcement. This circumstance prompts the investigating judge to harshly condemn the case: "The girl's involvement in the fraudulent scheme implemented by her father and Capuano to favor her...casts more than a shadow over the moral rectitude of a young woman destined shortly to join the ranks of the Italian judiciary." In exchange for passing the competitive exam, Di Dio gave the magistrate, during a meeting also attended by Valentino Cassini, an IT expert and the judge's intermediary, a pastiera, a bottle of wine, and three free passes to a well-known beach club in Bagnoli (one of the neighborhoods within the municipality of Naples where he serves as councilor, ed.). A place much loved by the magistrate's daughter, as he emphasized in a previous wiretap: "That daughter goes crazy for (the name of the club, ed.), she always goes there with her friends. Now I'll get her the Open membership." During that meeting, Capuan not only does she congratulate Di Dio on passing the exam for the judiciary, but she also promises to assist her during her internship and in choosing the location. And for this last favor, Di Dio promises to arrange free admissions to the disco, again for Capuano's daughter.
