The Naples Universiade crowd has already chosen its darling: a radiant smile on a statuesque body, the athlete from the Kingdom of Eswatini (a southern African country known as Swaziland until 2018) has won the San Paolo stadium's favor by running for the Miss Universiade title, as also recognized by the organization, which tweeted a video on the Games' official profile showing the athlete lapping the field, exchanging kisses and smiles, and being reciprocated by the approximately 30.000 attendees. The reception at the Games' opening ceremony saw France and Germany booed, while the South American delegations of Brazil and Argentina erupted in roars (a Maradona jersey was obligatory in the stands). The American and Russian delegations also received strong applause. Finally, the Uruguayan delegation offered a kind gesture to the host city: "Thank you so much, Naples, Uruguay loves you."
