Naples. "Following the owners' invitation, we conducted an inspection of the Acque Minerali area in Posillipo. The space, including land and the sea cliff, is reportedly owned by the Cala della Zafferana Cooperative, which acquired it through a deed in 1973. At our request, the owners removed the gate they had installed to restrict access to an area affected by a landslide, but which effectively prevented swimmers from freely passing toward the so-called "scoglione." We were told that this installation, which is not permitted in restricted areas, was necessitated by the influx of swimmers near the area affected by the landslide. This influx, we were told, is occurring despite the posted warning signs, which are systematically removed at night. To address this problem, the owners have assured us they will provide a security guard service." This was stated by Green Party regional councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Giovanni Caselli, councilor for the Sole Che Ride party in the First Municipality. "The owners of the area have also assured us that they are willing to secure the hillside. They are awaiting approval from the Superintendency before work can begin," Borrelli and Caselli conclude.
