The events of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia, directed by Ruggero Cappuccio, continue, which on Thursday 4 July at 21 pm at the Teatro Grande di Pompei presents, as part of the Pompeii Theatrum Mundi festival, promoted by the Stabile di Napoli - this year also among the Special Projects of the NTFI - the world premiere of Satyricon by Francesco Piccolo, inspired by Petronius, directed by Andrea De Rosa, with Noemi Apuzzo, Alessandra Borgia, Francesca Cutolo, Michelangelo Dalisi, Flavio Francucci, Antonino Iuorio, Serena Mazzei, Lorenzo Parrotto, Anna Redi, Andrea Volpetti.
Again at 21 pm at the Teatro Mercadante, for the Italian section, the first theatrical version of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen will debut, in the theatrical adaptation by Antonio Piccolo, directed by Arturo Cirillo, also on stage together with Valentina Picello, Riccardo Buffonini, Alessandra De Santis, Rosario Giglio, Sara Putignano, Giacomo Vigentini, Giulia Trippetta (repeat on July 5 at 19 pm).
At 21 pm at the Sala Assoli, In flagrante delicto – Gesualdo da Venosa, Principe dei Musici is scheduled, conceived and directed by Roberto Aldorasi, texts by Francesco Niccolini, with Marcello Prayer. A work of reconstruction and research, of historical truth and poetic re-presentation, between history, myth and legend, on the trail of Gesualdo da Venosa (repeat on July 5 at 19 pm).
At 22 pm the music continues in the Cortile d'Onore of Palazzo Reale, with Voci del Mediterraneo, arrangements and musical direction by Carlo Morelli, with the choir of the City of Naples and M'Barka Ben Taleb. The show is a journey from classical Neapolitan song to Neapolitan soul, from the nuances of Neapolitan villanelles to Mediterranean blues.
For the Osservatorio section, at 19 pm at Galleria Toledo, Respiro piano debuts, written by Piera Russo and Nicola Maiello, directed and performed by Piera Russo. The show tells the story of the path of female emancipation of a woman, Matilde, born from an extramarital relationship hidden so as not to tarnish her honor. At 17:21 am at the Teatro Nuovo, Pulcilele… Omaggio a Emanuele Luzzati – Comic-musical opera for puppets with music by Gioacchino Rossini by Paolo Comentale, also director of the show and performer together with Giacomo Dimase. In this work Pulcinella takes a colorful journey among singing cats, Paladins and Moors, kidnapped Princesses and traitorous Gani. At 22.30 pm we continue with Little Red Riding Hood at the Teatro Nuovo, dramaturgy, direction, sets and lights by Michelangelo Campanale, with Claudia Cavalli, Marco Curci, Erica Di Carlo, Francesco Lacatena, Roberto Vitelli and choreography by Vito Cassano. Campanale directs a group of dancers-acrobats tackling the most popular of fairy tales. At the Cortile delle Carrozze of Palazzo Reale at XNUMX pm, it will be the turn of White Fang by Francesco Niccolini, freely inspired by the novels and the adventurous life of Jack London, directed by Francesco Niccolini and Luigi D'Elia, the latter also performing in the show. At XNUMX pm the Romantic Garden of Palazzo Reale welcomes the Puglia Village, which offers Puglia Showcooking, culinary entertainment featuring the rich heritage of tastes, flavours and aromas of Puglia.
