Naples. “It has now been 5 years since the tragic death of little Salvatore Giordano, killed by the state of serious neglect in which the Galleria Umberto in Naples was found and of which the Municipality was well informed thanks also to the numerous questions of the same city councilors that unfortunately remained completely unheard”. Thus in a note the lawyers Sergio and Angelo Pisani, legal representatives of the Giordano family, comment on the fifth anniversary of the death of young Salvatore Giordano, struck and killed, while walking with some friends, by a heavy piece of stucco that broke off from a building in the Galleria Umberto I in Naples. For the two lawyers it was “a death foretold that was not remedied in any way. Indeed, five years after the tragic event, despite the clear evidence of responsibility for what happened, Salvatore's tragedy cries out for justice every day, as his family is still a victim of the specious passing of the buck between the two insurance giants of the Municipality of Naples and the condominium, respectively, which continue to deny due compensation for the negligence of their insured parties". "The criminal trial," continues the family's lawyer, "is now even at risk of becoming time-barred if extraordinary hearings are not scheduled on a weekly basis." "Salvatore was probably not convenient for anyone," warn Sergio and Angelo Pisani, "that's why no one raised their voice for him, Salvatore was 'just' a boy loved by his family and his friends. And so we have the duty to do so," declare the lawyers, "we will not allow justice to be denied to a minor who is the victim of a Naples that does no honor to anyone, we ask that the Head of State intervene in this matter. The Galleria, in addition to being a condominium complex, is an important monument, even a UNESCO site. Salvatore, little more than a child, is the victim of institutional neglect and insurance giants indifferent to the rights of his family members"
