"We are deeply saddened after seeing the photo, spread on social media, showing the conditions of the Scoglione beach after hosting the Sunday bathers. The arena has been reduced to an open-air landfill with waste of all kinds abandoned in the sand, a real slap in the face to one of the most evocative places on the Posillipo coast. Unfortunately, once again we are forced to deal with the phenomena of incivility that violate our beauties. We cannot hide behind a finger: there are pockets of the Neapolitan population that are totally divorced from the rules of coexistence and civil life and have no respect for the place where they live. The counterpart are the people who, after the Sunday massacre, went to clean up the beach. Those citizens, mostly from Posillipo, who truly care about that stretch". This is what the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the councilor of the Sole che Ride in the I Municipality Gianni Caselli affirm. "Among other things - Borrelli and Caselli add - among the abandoned waste there are several plastic bottles. This highlights a problem: despite the coastline having been declared plastic free by the Municipality of Naples, there are merchants who do not respect the ban and continue to sell products contained in plastic containers. We have therefore sent a report to the municipal police asking them to carry out a series of checks in commercial premises close to the coastal strip".
