Campania Regional President Vincenzo De Luca and former regional president and current regional councilor Stefano Caldoro are also among those targeted by 34 formal complaints issued by the Campania Court of Auditors' Office in relation to the establishment in 2015, and its extension for over two years, of a special commission of inquiry into affiliated companies, which investigators deemed "illegitimate and harmful." The investigation stemmed from a complaint filed by the Five Star Movement.
